Privacy policy.
What I collect when you use this site, why, and how to ask me to change or delete it.
Last updated October 3, 2026
This policy covers katepowerscreates.org, run by Kate Powers (Kate Powers Creates). When it says "I", "me" or "my", that is Kate. Questions about anything here go to [email protected].
What I collect
- What you type into a form. Signing up for the newsletter, a free guide or booklet, an event, the Note Card Club or a school inquiry asks for things like your name, email address and, on some forms, your phone number, school or district.
- Order details. When you buy something, the checkout collects your name, email, billing details and, for physical items, your shipping address. Card numbers go straight to the payment processor; I never see or store them.
- Basic visit statistics. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies to track you and does not build a profile of you.
How I use it
- To send you what you asked for: the guide, the booklet, your order, event details or a reply to your inquiry.
- To send my newsletter, if you signed up for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep records of orders and sign-ups.
I do not sell or rent your information, and I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who helps me run the site
A few services handle your information on my behalf, only to do the jobs above:
- HighLevel (LeadConnector), which hosts this site, its forms, my contact list and my emails.
- The payment processor used at checkout (such as Stripe or Square).
- Cloudflare, for site delivery and the visit statistics described above.
- Download links for books and guides may open on services like BookFunnel or Amazon, which have their own privacy policies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails anytime with the link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by emailing [email protected]. I will reply within 30 days.
How long I keep it
I keep contact details while you are on my list or a customer, and order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. If you ask me to delete your details, I will, apart from records I am required to keep.
Children
This site is meant for adults: parents, caregivers and educators. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent me their details, email me and I will delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
